i was looking through my facebook friends and i came across the profile of someone i didn’t know i had added. i was in school with this girl from first grade all the way to when i dropped out of high school freshman year. we would always see each other in the hallways and she’d always say ‘hi’ which made me feel really weird because usually none of the people i didn’t...

i used to play a fun game with my dad called ‘garbage man.’ he would pick us up and spin us around then throw us in the garbage. it was a really fun game i didn’t really think much about it at the time i just remember me and my sisters saying ‘garbage man! garbage man! garbage man!’

when i was 12 years old i wanted to be an emo. my friend said ‘you have to cut yourself if you want to be a real emo’ then handed me a piece of glass. i dropped the glass and tried to catch it but accidentally cut my hand. everyone looked at me like ‘whoa.’ that was the day i became a real emo.
one of my fondest experiences with ecstasy was sitting on the floor of a bathroom at a party singing ‘that’s life’ but i only knew two lines so i kept singing it over and over again
i’ve been to south bronx once. we were going on a trip to the beach but the driver wanted to stop at her father’s house to reconcile their relationship. we never went to the beach. we stayed at the house for hours while they both talked shit about each other. then it started raining. on the way back my ex got her period and started bleeding all over the car seat because she was in a...

this poem in tao lin’s third novel is about that.
i thought something about “i want this moment to last forever” on saturday night at ~1:55am while standing in the parking lot at work (i think that is one of the lines in the poem, actually)

keep having dreams in which i cant stop leaking cold drool from a gland between my nose and upper lip. it’s scary. i keep having to soak it up with a bunch of napkins while telling people to take me to the hospital.
releasing a chapbook soon. it’s composed of cut-up/fold-in poems of antonin artaud’s/kathy acker’s work. it was a fun project. i selected random words/fragments of lines, put them together, cut them up, and then put them together again. it formed some incredible ‘new/original’ poetry. i would’ve released it sooner but i kept reading it over and over again and...
